Uninstalling McAfee for obvious reasons. Would windows defender be enough or do I need to install antivirus like kaspersky or bitdefender

As far as the actual programs go, there is no one “best” program, as each has its plusses and minuses. Performance, system resource usage, and detection rates change with every update, and those occur multiple times throughout the day.

Windows defender is usally enough, if your really concerned you can download malwarebytes for free.
