Questin about cancelling NORD VPN

I want to purchase the 2 year plan, but I have heard that it is difficult to cancel it afterwards. Is this true?

Within the first 30 days you can refund it without any problem, afterwards, they will ignored you since their company policy only guarantee 30 days moneyback cancellation.

I mean.

All you have to do is remove your payment method immediately after paying for your current plan.

Edit:

Then you can go to bed in peace and ignore every email from them. Click nothing

Very, they’re pretty much the worst customer service VPN company in existence. I moved to Hotspot Shield. Nord have Shady practices and will charge you regardless.

If you pickup the 3 year at microcenter it is the price of the 2 year. Then you just activate with the code and there is nothing to cancel.

As long as you are diligent about cancelling auto-renew or removing your payment info you should be ok. They absolutely bury the “turn off auto-renew” button though so it takes a bit of digging to get to.

Everyone is absolutely correct about them having wretched customer service and extremely shady billing practices which is why I left. They were great in the beginning and now they are driven by greed and their products are suffering badly. Hopefully your experience is better but keep your eyes open.

It is easy to cancel on the website, but they are going to charge you even you have cancelled it:joy::joy: So pay with visa gift card at the first place is okay.

Personally I think the ease and convenience is worth the money so I don’t really understand why anyone would want to cancel their subscription.

Their terms are pretty clear - no refunds after 30 days. If you’re going month to month, you can remove your payment method. If you’ve already paid for a year…just use it. Or don’t. But you won’t be getting a refund.

Use a privacy card for anything you think may be difficult to cancel. As soon as you make the purchase, you can delete the card or just pause it and reactivate any time you want.

I have a 3 year sub, so I haven’t paid in a while, but if Nord still accepts PayPal, you can just go into your PayPal account after subscribing and remove authorization for Nord. They won’t find out about it unless they try to bill you.

If you’re in the US, don’t forget to use a cash back portal to save a good chunk of money.

Nord was so cheap for my sub I doubt I will try to cancel… however if their apps don’t get better before it lapses I am going elsewhere.

Except you CANNOT remove your payment method, you can only update it for another payment method or credit card.
