It’s incredibly easy to set up and use. Once set up, it’s an extra 5 seconds to turn it on before playing.
Step 1) download the app.
Step 2) create an account.
Step 3) approve the VPN settings configuration that pops up.
Step 4) turn it on (a non-US country)
Tunnel Bear provides 2GB for free and allows you to select the country for the VPN (e.g. Canada). This is what I am currently using to play Snap with no internet issues.
Nord VPN has a 30 day free trial.
I tried Proton VPN but it, and some other free VPNs, does not allow you to select a country without a subscription.
Comment below if there are other VPNs you’ve had success with. Hopefully we won’t need to do this longer than a few days but I guess we’ll see.

That’s completely fair. This is just for those of us who want to continue playing the game because of the unfortunate situation.

Nord is free for a month. Just cancel before the trial ends. Currently playing on a Mexican server with no issues.

That’s something worth looking into. Most games I know of won’t ban for that (see Pokemon Pocket and many other games with country-specific betas). But I’ll see about asking in the Discord server to try to get a more clear answer.
Unless there’s somebody who can provide explicit proof that they were banned due to use of a VPN then I’m personally assuming it’s safe for the time being.

No I know I’m not… I’m just curious if there’s a workaround right now. When I use the VPN, I can’t do in-app but I can go to nuverse.
And you can only turn on the VPN to log in and turn it off once you’re in the game
Does that include gold purchases?

haven’t tried it, I just was on my Canada VPN and saw nuverse webshop was up and had my acct still paired and had CA$ and could “check out” but didn’t put a card in.
I’d assume if your card accepts out of country purchases you could.
