Sure, but that still does not comply with the law in my state. There are requirements for affirmative opting-in and for how the ToS are laid out which Nord fails to meet. They can advertise and state whatever they want; if it does not comply with law, then it’s still not enough.
Yeah, sorry, that’s not how it works at all - the statute provides that attorneys fees are separate from the award, in this case. (I’m an attorney too - I probably know a little more about this than you, friend).
And government absolutely should be in the business of protecting businesses from exploitative corporate practices. Good luck with your rugged individualism though -
Ok, Mr Genius. If you are actually a lawyer you would know that in most class actions the case is dismissed, it almost never goes to trial, and when the company settles half of the time the plaintiffs get nothing. Also embarrassing that you claim to be a lawyer yet can’t even read well enough to cancel a subscription.
Ha, yes, your last point is a good one for sure. I’m definitely more butthurt about it than I should be, probably partly for that reason. Like I said, I was glad to help some other folks avoid the same.
And while I do appreciate your attempts at legal advice, I’ll probably stick with the lawyers. Keep shilling for corporations tho, it’s such a good look.
Give up, I never “shilled” for anything. People should use whatever VPN gives the best value and not be put off by one dissatisfied person. For all I know you are a shill for some other vpn posting negative stories.
You’re welcome to your opinion, and people can of course choose whatever they want.
