Yeah, this doesnt work for me. I removed Authenticator completly, logged out laptop, PC and mobile, used VPN to Japan, signed to steam, and nothing. My IP is registered as japanese, but prices in store are in Euros. And store location is my home country, cannot change it. Game downloaded everything, but stuck at Pre-load
I logged out on my phone. I just followed the instructions on the other post for installing and using the VPN, when I connected to Steam it queued up the 4.4gb update, started it, disconnected from the VPN to speed it up, and that was that. But now when I try to log in (while on the VPN again) it just has the PRE-LOAD button and says it isn’t out. Have tried numerous VPN servers. Was so close, yet so far.
Fixed it by going into the steam menu, settings, manage, and unauthorize other devices. So I guess something didn’t count as logged out.
now I get a too many login attempts error sigh
