ProtonVPN or TunnelBear VPN?

I’m stuck between both of these services. Both are around the same price, and offer the same level of services. Has anyone chosen one over the other and why so? TIA.

The mods aren’t as strict on here as they are on r/privacy and allow some leeway so I don’t see much of an issue as long as the advice is genuine and not blatant shilling.

r/VPN doesn’t allow recommendations either, unfortunately. Any other reddit sub that’s good for this type of recommendation? I’ve got a similar question.

You’re welcome. Also, I second mullvad. But I think just taking someones advise without understanding why is quite risky. That’s why I linked the website

I would avoid tunnelbear, but my experience with it is old.

Thanks. Problem I’m having is that ThatOnePrivacySite isn’t up to date and I can’t find another other reputable sources for VPN recommendations.

I can’t find another other reputable sources for VPN recommendations

I think a part of the problem is that some people are looking for a theoretical perfect vpn, which probably doesn’t exist.

My needs would include . . .

[1] Outside my country, not in China, USA, Canada (or any other 5 eyes partner) (so Nord or Proton look good for me)

[2] Policy of not keeping logs (I think Nord and Proton shine here)

[3] A price I like

[4] any special features of encryption

[5] Any special linux friendly features.

This pc Mag review has a nice feature of looking at :

Free VPNs

Mac VPNs

Android VPNS

iPhone VPNs

Free VPNs

Bittorrent VPNs

VPNs for College Students

VPNs for Netflix Users

VPNs for Gamers

Streaming is not much of an need for me, but torrents occasionally are.

I’m flexible on price if it’s reliable and large enough.
