Proton VPN sucks now

Proton VPN used to be a VPN service that enabled you to connect to other countries for free. Now it’s all part of their pay program and you can only connect to other locations in the US. I think it’s a stupid move on their part. I understand the other countries were limited, but still, it was something that made them stand out. I really wish they would change this. Does anyone else feel the same?

You can’t expect something to be free and give you the same benefits as paid users, at least they give you the option to use the service with some limitations without paying, option not available on other VPN providers.

You get what you pay for…

Free is great!

But it makes sense for them to only allow paying accounts to have access to picking what country they connect to.

It’s just a few bucks for their paid VPNs. Personally I’ve been extremely happy with Proton’s mail as well as their VPN.

I understand your frustration however nothing is free. After the initial start up investment money dries up, the company has to make money somehow. Is setting aside $5-10 a month asking for too much? What are the alternatives to proton?

If you want free vpn, you will have to watch ads. Check virtual 5g express as an alternative.

Pay the cheap fee. Proton kicks ass for me.

Pay for the service. The service isn’t free to operate

Personally, I cannot stand freeloaders, as I am forced to subsidize their lifestyle and poor choices.

The entitlement people feel towards others time and labour is ‘offensive’ (lol).

Key takeaway from this baseless complaint: “free”, “only”, “stupid”, “wish”, “feel”.

Never sustainable for a company to offer something that costs them money for free to the public. Better to pay them otherwise the business won’t stay around for long.

Simmer down Unkle Grunkle. Take your goat sacrifice, and chill. I don’t find it offensive, inconvenient, maybe, but I see where you’re coming from.
