Problems with Radmin VPN

I am part of an Italian team of swat 4.
Up until now we have used GameRanger for our games, but now we are aiming to migrate to a more comfortable Radmin.

Unfortunately we have several problems such as not being able to find each other.
Radmin appears to be working fine. In fact, in the server created by us we are all there and we all see each other online, also if we ping each other we receive the answer correctly.

Do you have any tips or suggestions?

If you already installed radmin, you have to go to “help” and “install radmin server”

After that you should restart your PC, create a new network, put a name on it and a password if you want.

Then tell your team to “Join an existing network” > “Private Network” > Put the exact same name and password (with caps and stuff).

Once done, you can open your game and host on LAN.

Remember you have to have the same mods (SEF, GEM and even textures, skins, etc) and the same version of everything, from the game to mods. If you don’t your server won’t appear to them.

If you have SEF and you want to play COOP Career, just go to “Career”, select the one you want to play and then instead of “Play career”, select “Coop career” or something like that.

Hope it helps.

hello i have an issue that whenever i try to join a gaming server it tells me to install radmin server but it is already installed help please

I thank you immensely for the answer, but the procedure you wrote, unfortunately is the one we have followed several times.

We might try again next time we test, but I don’t think there will be different results.
I suspect it’s a firewall problem, but the ping works so I don’t think that’s it…

Anyway thank you very much for the reply.

I don’t remember the steps exactly, but from what I remember we solved it by working on the firewall.
If I remember correctly you have to give access to the network by the game and its variants (SEF and SEF:FR for example)

Oh :frowning:
Well, I hope you find the problem

we see what we can do. Thank you!

solved, apparently the firewall did not take normal swat and SEF permissions.

Now everything seems to work

btw i don’t have anyone to play with lol :frowning:

My discord is Lewiss#8947 or you can dm me here

Hey so what exactly did you do with the firewall can you tell me in detail? I had the same problem.

Sorry, I thought it was another comment.

So I went to the control panel, firewall and click on Allow App.

Then prizes to Allow another app…
If this key is disabled then click first on Change settings

Made this selects the exe si swat (swat4.exe, swat4x.exe, launchsef.exe, etc…)

I added swat4.exe, swat4x.exe and launchsef.exe too but my friend’s SEF game still didn’t pop up when I clicked join game. Hmm, maybe I did something wrong? Should I try ticking off both private and public network?

Does it make any difference if I start the game from launchsef.bat instead of launchsef.exe?

I’m running the version SWAT 4 Elite Force v7.1 test 2

I recommend to tick his private network than public network.
Did you both have set the network as Lan?

p.s. I advise you to use the exe and, in case, launch as administrator
