I think I made a dumb mistake.
I am currently in china on a holiday and I’m using a steam deck to play war thunder. I’m using my mobile hotspot for internet which is a Hong Kong sim that works well with steam (no VPN required). I’ve probably played 5-10 hours in total.
2-3 days ago I brought some Golden Eagles. I’m from Australia and I have my war thunder account created via steam so when I brought them in did it through my steam wallet.
I had to add funds to my wallet via master card which then purchased the Golden Eagles through the Gajin store popup.
The price or balance was the same cost as Australia so I didn’t think anything about it however on the Gajin store popup it was in HKD instead of AUD (still the same cost as I have a previous receipt from steam wallet and my bank account). I think it was actually a little more as usually it’s $9.99 but this time it was $10.73.
I didn’t buy the Golden Eagles to get around any pricing as I wasn’t aware that was possible until recently.
After the purchase I saw that you could get banned for doing cross country purchases and I’m freaking out a little.
How much trouble am I in? Will my account get banned? Nothing has happened so far and it’s been a few days.
