NordVPN’s way of begging me for money for the past 16 hours.
In case you didn’t notice, your subscription ends in 3 days
That’s why you don’t trust sponsorships
How do you think they buy youtubers
Anybody else bothered by the fact that literally everything is subscription based? I had an app that identified bugs that you took a picture of and it they wanted $8 a month. That’s $96 a year for an app that identifies bugs!!
Vpn’s provider are doing terrorism on users since the pandemic .
Most people now think they can’t browse the internet safely without a VPN which is totally false.
Just turn off app notifications, it’s why it’s there. 50% of my apps are perma muted.
Don’t get me started on Netflix emails about reactivating my account.
“Hey! We’ve Been Trying To Reach You About Your VPNs Extended Warranty”
Turn off notifications

VPNs are the new antivirus. Seeking you on things they can’t do and you don’t need by telling you you’re dangerously unprotected without them.
When does your subscription end again?
This Nord VPN add was brought to you by raid shadow legends
Feels like /r/softwaregore
Oops! Looks like you have some malware in your device…
Picturing Nordvpn clinging to your trouser leg as you drag her across the floor.
I was thinking of buying a VPN subscription today. Thanks for narrowing my options.
You know what? Now I am going to cancel it even harder!
Funfact: Dns over Https does the same thing a VPN does to hide your dns traffic from ISPs, which is the easiest way an ISP can figure out what youre doing. VPNs typically do nothing for privacy or security in most cass because youre having to trust more random remote servers that could perform a MITM attack. VPNs oftentime are owned by data analytics companies and have no way of actually proving that they arent malicious outside of ‘just trusting them’. VPNs are a prime target for surveilance agencies since they are a honeypot for average privacy conscious users who think it’s a silver bullet and take no other precautions to actually secure themselves. VPN ads are effectively: “Internet is dangerous, use our VPN to protect your data and whatnot” Without actually understanding the technology it uses, and what little it actually does for the user. Companies can easily track users even with a different IP address because of device identifiers, cookies, scripts, and metadata the browser and device send to websites and apps.
Fuck nord. Dropped them as soon as they started that login before you can turn on your VPN nonsense.
If I recall, they have had some issues with keeping customer data secure as well.
