Hi you all: I am attempting to create a USA based TikTok account. So far: I have gotten a e sim from T mobile. I have a vpn that places me in NYC. and I have disabled location/gps on my phone. and my TikTok account is verified with a nyc. number. but when I go in account info: it doesn’t have a region section: it’s just phone number and email. I have an iPhone 14 pro max. I need to have a usa based account so that I can join the creativity beta program. How do I ad the region? why won’t it show? thank you

Did you reinstall TikTok before switching sim and vpn? If not, try doing that first. If that still doesn’t work, if you setup another phone (that hasn’t installed TikTok) in the same way, it’ll almost 100% work.

Hey so I’m looking to do the same things. I already have the sim but I didn’t know about the whole vpn thing. I also want to sign up for monetization. I already have TikTok installed but I’m considering deleting it and getting the vpn then trying again. How has it worked for you so far ?

Hi thank you for posting a reply. I asked my American friend to heck her TikTok and she said she also doesn’t see her region. but now I am not concerned about this anymore because TikTok counts me as in the USA since I have the option in creator tools to apply for the creative beta program. so it’s all good. since I installed my first Canadian TikTok on another phone: with a different number, and won’t interact the two accounts: I think I should be fine. now: I am on my way to gaining 10k followers and enough views and apply for creative beta. thank you for checking in

Hello! How is it going so far with your accounts? Do you always use VPN whenever you open TT? Any shadow ban happened? I’ve just tried similar method (putting targeted country SIM card & all) but I’m quite anxious about the VPN, people here said they often get shadow banned

Hi there, I am sorry: I only posted two videos. so far. I don’t know. is the answer. I hadn’t heard of the vpn/shadow ban thing. I will do my research and when I post again. I ll let you know.

I’m not clear on one thing: do you need to make a brand new TikTok account or can you change the phone number into an existing TT account with the esim, VPN and location/gps turned off? And do you need to use the cellular data from the esim or the VPN takes care of that anyway?
