Even wired?! I just got it for gaming
Yeah I got internet air for gaming too but it cuts off regularly and right now itās off completely, idk if at&t is having problems right now but if they tell me they donāt, Iām returning this crap, itās been doing nothing but stressing me out
I just checked. No, I donāt see a place in the DHCP server where you can set a custom DNS server to be sent to the clients. You can, however, put the gateway in IP Passthrough mode and use your own router.
I donātā¦at least not right now. I just did a test and it averaged 100 ms.
See full comments as two people posted the same thing at once. Yes, but also no. This is what I referred to as their custom solution to let games work.
People are reporting issues with Hulu Live TV. It is using a public range because of the aforementioned tunneling workaround. But Hulu is still detecting it as shared IP activity, and refusing to give a precise geolocation. This is due to the IP being tied to the HTTP proxy edge.
Old thread but how did you reboot? I juzt got air. Already passed through and disabled the built in wifi, then manuallu unplugged and plugged back in after about 30 seconds. Does that count as a reboot or do I need to do something else? Brcause I am still showing Redmond
So how is this set up then - public IPv4, but only streaming service traffic get routed over another ATT gateway further upstream?
Yeah, basically their own in-house VPN tunnel that terminates at the edge, and is transparent to the device.
They want to CGNAT malware and P2P, while allowing streaming and online gaming.
Problem is, geolocated Live TV services like Hulu Live TV still treat it as CGNAT unless you have an iOS or Android with built-in GPS.
Should add the āworkaroundā is to use a GPS-enabled device with DP Alt Mode, like Samsung DeX, LG V60 or iPhone 15 (Lightning HDMI is between 720p and 1080p, not ideal). Plug that into the HDTV via HDMI, and use the app.
