Use a VPN when on unsecure networks.
It’s not worth being on an unsecured network. Costco Network in particular seems like easy pickings for someone looking to steal information.
Any public WiFi is a means to harvest data from you … not worth it unless you have NO cell service and Must have internet access.
I dunno why everyone’s worried about an insecure network. iOS has encrypted messaging and you are probably connecting to https websites. Your iPhone spoofs a fake Mac address. Plus who at Costco gives a shit about you. Really.
Thank goodness, my warehouse has absolutely terrible cell service.

Weird that this is considered a perk. I more or less just expect any business to offer free wifi to guests in this day and age.
Please be sure to park your cart sideways at the end of the aisle when standing there using your free Wi-Fi.
And who needs Wi-Fi at Costco? Are you really on the FB/Reddit/tinder while shopping? Seems pointless.
If you need to get internet access at Costco for some reason…maybe check a price of an item over at Sams, and you’re concerned about the unsecured WiFi, just go over to the iPad displays and use one of them. Problem solved!
What are you folks doing that you need Wi-Fi at Costco? Do you not have data?
Get off your phone, move your cart, and focus on shopping instead of TikToking
