Trying to use a VPN thats set to either turkey or argentina to sign up for youtube premium, but now i get sent to a page where youtube says we couldn’t verify your country. Is the trick dead?
What trick? Im in the dark about that
I changed my location to Egypt. It was like a little over $2 USD for a month to month plan. A bit more than other countries like Turkey, India, or Argentina, but at least I don’t have to get a virtual cc or anything like that! Good luck
Argentina and Turkey now seem to need you to use a card issued there. Only Ukraine seems to still be open to using cards from countries other than Ukraine.
just tried changing country. it works for me. Should note it was for gifting memberships and not premium.
It’s dead specifically for Argentina and Turkey, but not for other countries like Ukraine for instance
Account country has to be set to that country not just IP via VPN. If you use play store, play store country has to be set to desired billing country address and you can only change it once in 12 months
I did it two days ago using a Ukraine VPN. I’m actually in Argentina currently, and also tried a Turkish VPN, but it wanted my credit card to be from the same country. That wasn’t the case with Ukraine though.
I got it working two days ago with Ukraine. Turkey and Argentina didn’t work for me. But YT is the only one I got working, I think for Netflix, Disney+ it’s dead
With the iPhone, change region to Turkey, then create Turkish ID, put credit card ININAL, then invented Turkish address, and here you have cheap prices. I did it this way, but you must have a Turkish credit card, you no longer need a VPN.
After creating account in another country and getting the lower price, what happens when you login to the US? Do you get the normal content you normally would if you signed up in the US?
Reaffirming that Kazakhstan via VPN worked for me as of 10/13/2024. Individual membership for $5.
Make sure to log in via web browser and not app (just to be extra safe, use an incognito / private window)
I also used Privacy to generate a credit card number, and just selected a random address in an apt building in Kazakhstan for billing address.
It is not dead, use a android device, turn vpn on, go in the YouTube app, purchase premium through google play store
To certain extend yes it’s half dead. You will need to try other countries (or even other vpn) to work
what countries dont require the billing address to be local or is there any pre-paid card which are easy to get for those that do?
Philipines worked for me.
Hi guys, just proceeded to get Youtube Premium for £4.51 (5.21$/4.83€) a month through Romania. Firstly I got my android tablet, opened the vpn and set to Romania, then went to Youtube app and Add new account, create new account, follow it all through until the account had been created. I then went to Purchases and memberships and saw that Individual Premium was RON 26 (£4.51) and Family plan was RON 39 (£6.73). So subscribed and tried it on my iPhone without VPN and works fine, all premium features for £4.51 a month! One of my family members received an email saying ’ confirm your address to avoid loosing premium access '. This person that got the email does not live in the same household but could confirm they do. On the other hand I am not sure what address YT are looking at here the Argentinian or my home address? I have both on my YT account in different payment profiles. thanks

Ukrainian account using German credit card was officially paused yesterday - with VPN and Chrome GPS masking, no deal. YT now requesting CC to be issued in billing country.
Will try some other countries and see how I go. It was a beautiful ad-free 6 months for €2.34/month.
