You don’t really need anything like that. Just use common sense when surfing the internet and don’t trust links in an email
Just keep your OS and software updated and use common sense - i.e. don’t download and run some random app from some sketchy pop-up window…
Use common sense. Don’t click sketchy links. Don’t download software from unofficial websites. Don’t give out personal information to random people.
The AV got a 100% rating from AV-Test in last year’s test. The firewall is nice too. I think it’s overall a good piece of software - especially because it’s specifically built for the Mac unlike plenty of other AVs.
You’re making this way more complicated than it has to be. It’s not the absence of a vpn that’ll make you vulnerable to have your identity stolen, it’s things like shitty passwords.
I don’t, I’m just trying to stay safe online like when I pay my bills online, my rent, you know?
And we already do that, cool.
True, thank you for the advice.
As long as you’re doing that on your own (or trusted) network, dealing with legitimate companies via their secure services, there is no risk.
In such case I believe you’re all right. Antivirus would just eat your performance and ruin your Mac experience.
