Download the repo off github and complie it with vs code or similar ide.

My exe didn’t download any extra software, just see which boxes you check while download it. I have just redownloaded it and seems fine
*More importantly, adware is not virus. Please! the application is so good that it literally removes all the restrictions from the OS and gives you almost total freedom. It is a free app so it will contain few extra files otherwise how are they going to maintain it free? And those files are not harmful.

Both google and bing/ddg use an “ai” interpretation layer for queries. So even if you add negative quotes and similar, you’ll still struggle to find some things unless you keep adding “ai prompt” like statements.

Okay, Maybe I will try it myself. To be honest, I’m not sure if there really were no boxes to download additional software, I only asked my friend who downloaded it, who also insisted on that there were no such boxes but got them anyway. As for the non harmfulness of them? eh, sorta true. One of them took up 99% of bros cpu making every action very delayed, sometimes by the tens of seconds lol.
But there are plenty of ways to make small amounts of money from something like this, on site ads for an example. How is winrar still free?
Cheat Engine default installer has adware by default, this is confirmed by Dark Byte himself (the developer), so either you might miss it or something went wrong mid process.
Also, what you’re downloading is Lazarus, the compilation platform used to compile Cheat Engine. That one is if you want to compile Cheat Engine yourself, skipping the adware part.
But if you do not want to bother with everything and just get the “no virus” one without any random extras, subscribe to Cheat Engine’s Patreon to get access.

Winrar is not free, it has a 40 day free trial. After that its license expires. And come on, the one who made the cheat engine was just a nerd like you and me. You can’t expect professional behaviour from the site. But you can buy it from his patreon i think. And just delete the files from the cnt panel if you don’t want them, simple.
