It’s been going on for a while. I switched the default browser to safari, and shut off the VPN and ad blockers, but it’s still happening.

I was just gonna ask if you had a VPN. You need to turn off the VPN. You don’t need an ad blocker on an iPhone. All you’re doing is adding malware. Literally in your settings under Safari you can block Papa pads. It’s built in for you. You don’t need a VPN unless you travel abroad a lot or work from home on your phone, which is unusual. Until you delete the VPN altogether you’re gonna have a problem. I see this all the time.
I got it! For anyone else that stumbles into this post, it was because I had cookies blocked .
So as of iOS 18, go to settings > apps > safari > advanced > block all cookies, and un-select it.
Something changed with these websites, because I’ve probably had cookies blocked since I’ve had an iPhone (2013), and it’s never been an issue.
So do you have any idea what else it could be, or if there’s other steps I need to take after turning the vpn off?
After reading your comment, I deleted the ad-blocker app completely and restarted the phone. There’s no active VPN anymore, and I’m still having the same issue.
I also just tried turning off “block pop-ups” in safari. It didn’t work either.
It is possible that you’re overall Internet connection, but that’s tricky. Do you have any other device devices that you can check with like an iPad with the same apps?
That’s something I hadn’t thought of. I just tried Ticketmaster on my iPhone 6 and it’s doing the exact same thing.
Regarding the internet connection, I have tried it on my iPhone 11 on at least 2 different WiFi connections as well as using cell data.
Is it possible that I have some sort of weird privacy setting enabled on my account that might cause this?
It very well could be. It wouldn’t hurt to contact your Internet service provider and just go over everything with them as well.
