On ubuntu 20.01 i have the gui installed but i want a static ip and i already know that the one i want is from the toronto server and the ip is 172.98.67.93 I was told to make that my static ip i would need to get the ovpn file and use it with openvpn, how do i get that specific openvpn file?

Hello u/marialime. To generate an OpenVPN file, sign into the Client Control Panel with your “p” username and password. Once signed in, scroll down and you should see the OpenVPN Configuration Generator near the bottom. Click the button, select Linux, North America, and CA Toronto. Select the port you wish to use and then make sure you check the box at the bottom left the reads, “Use IP”. Click the Generate button and the file will begin to download. Once downloaded, open the file in a text editor and replace the IP in the file with the IP above that you have chosen. Once changed, save the file and you will then have the OpenVPN file with the desired IP.
