Since CISA basically turned off all VPN’s due to hacking, how is anyone able to telework? Yes, they have implemented AVD, but that is a mess. It is so slow during work hours. You also have no access to anything but email and apps, and Teams. You can’t access any shared data. So how can anyone be legitimately teleworking?
Edit: From the responses it looks like not all VPN’s are affected. So, there is hope for me to get back to telework once they can the piece of garbage VPN we currently use. What versions of VPN are everyone using?
Our VPN is off for, apparently, forever. We have all be forced over to a virtual desktop. In my experience, it’s working really well. We do have a lot of files on a shared drive so whoever is in the office that day is helping people at home with that. We are also working now to move our shared drive (huge amount of files) into a sharepoint site that is accesssible by the virtual desktop.
Interesting, CISA put out a statement about a government agency “incident” recently, seems the OP may of confirmed it was CISA, that experienced the “incident”?
Then your IT department really sucks!! If they truly understood what is going on they would stop using immediately. The fact that they are not reflects true incompetence….
