google signed me out, out of nowhere. i recently got hacked so i am paranoid, it wanted to verify it was me, so it already knew which account to use. it was fine all day but now it stopped and logged me out. i logged back in but now im worried of a virus in the browser, keylogging passwords and stuff to log in. (thats how i got hacked the first time) this is the first time it has logged me out of a site without permission and all other sites im still signed into. is this normal to happen?
Are you sure you got hacked and it wasn’t just Google thinking you were because you used Google while using Opera’s built-in VPN?
For good measure though, you should goto https://myaccount.google.com/device-activity and log out of all your sessions and then sign out of Google. Then, in Opera, goto the URL opera://settings/content/all, type google.com in the search field and click “delete displayed content”. Then, log back in.
Wouldn’t hurt to review the extensions you have at the URL opera://extensions.
Also wouldn’t hurt to scan your system with the free version of Malwarebytes.
How did you determine “a virus in the browser keylogging passwords” was how you got hacked? 90% of hacks are from something you logged into like reddit or psn or something likely much less famous having their database hacked , that list gets sold online, and then they test the email/password combos everywhere and hope for matches.
Probably just cookies/site data from Google being erased. Just login again.
operas vpn is off, all sign ins are legit. not classified as new google session after new sign in, all extentions are legit, all sessions also seem legit. no new ones.
Sorry should have worded differently. I’m worried about keylogger in the browser, but got hacked cuz a keylogger was on my pc, (not specifically the browser) password was unique so it couldn’t have been a data leak.
