I have a SonicWall NSA2400 appliance with a number of users connecting to it via the Global VPN Client. This is stable and works well, but I’m having an issue where whenever I add, edit, or remove a user local user, everyone is disconnected for a second and has to reconnect. This makes administration difficult as I can’t create, edit, or delete users during work hours for fear of kicking people out. I can view users, but changes of any kind seem to cause the disconnection. Everyone can immediately reconnect, no problem. Can anyone help, or shed some light on this?
I am editing the users right on the appliance. I login to the web interface via the internal network IP address. I am not doing it from the outside/external IP, if thst’s what you mean.
for nsa2400 you should check latest firmware and be sure where do you add/remove user? global vpn client user groups or other user groups?
this is a bug that has been fixed, same thing happened when messing with address objects while connected to vpn. doing it locally on the box works just fine tho
I add users via the Web interface to the NSA2400, then “Users” and “Local Users”. When I click “OK” after filling in the fields, all of my Global VPN Client users are disconnected for just a second. They can immediately log back on.
It appears that I am behind a release on the firmware. If it’s a bug I’m surprised I couldn’t find any other info about it online.
Surely I can’t be the only one with this problem.
İf you are using trusted user in global VPN settings please create new one and assign to global VPNs settings.
And could you share IPsec advanced menu, may be enabled dead tunel settings
