Getting a pop up requesting for username password to https://*.staticnetcontent.com when using a chrome app

At first I couldn’t even use the Chrome app as it kept thinking I wasn’t connected to the internet. When I turned off Windscribe and opened the app again, it was able to load. Once I turned Windscribe back on and reopened the Chrome app, the app would open but a “Authentiction required” pop up will show saying

The proxy https://*.staticnetcontent.com requires a username and password

https://windscribe.com/support/article/6/usernamepassword-browser-popup

i didnt even know why it popped up cuz i forgot i had windscrube

I got the same thing except it was with some north ghost thing. Is it a virus or no?

I just got something called uk whisper gallery can’t use Internet on opera

i removed the vpn entirely because i ran out of energy on it and didn’t let me turn it off (i had this same issue)

The popup for me is “us-central-093.totallyacdn.com

Thanks for the support article. Sucks that the answer for my specific problem is “just don’t use our product”

Turn off Windscribe extension before closing the browser
When this happens, and Windscribe extension isn't running yet, you will see the login prompt, since it actually makes a proxy request for the webpage through our server. Its not exactly graceful, but you should just be able to click Cancel.

I hit the problem when I try to sign into chromium - this is way after the browser has loaded so I guess the problem might be somewhere else.

I used touch vpn and I had a weird north ghost link asking for a username and password. So weird

what does it mean dude

Actually your browser need some times to load all the extensions (this time required is depend on your hardware configuration. Please wait sometime till it load properly (you will notice extension color changed from dark-gray to blue). You have to change startup tab as blank-tab because it you select any web-page, browser will try to open this page on startup while all the extension not initiated yet and the extension will show the error you are seeing. Hope I am explain the situation and your problem is solved.

I don’t know what you mean by that. The solution is well-articulated in relatively simple (for teh interwebs) declarative sentences. What browser are you using? At the bottom left of most browsers there’s an “activity monitor” that tells you what it’s doing. Watch it when you first load the browser up. You’ll see it loading all it’s little exensions. Just wait until it’s finished. Then launch Windscribe.

Yeah I get what the support file is saying thanks for trying to reiterate. I was pointing out that it tells you to turn off Windscribe as a solution because it cannot load Windscribe fast enough.

Like I was mentioning in my original post, I’m using a Chrome App rather than an extension so there’s even less control for me to dictate what order things are being loaded. Chrome Apps seem to be self contained browsers.
