Is there any best and free VPN for Ubuntu ?
You should know that nothing is actually free… if you’re not paying for it with your money, you are the product.

I only use it on occasion. and my needs are minimal.
there are vpn specific subs, but the topic can get complex real fast.
Protonvpn, it’s free as in opensource, enjoy
is in the software store too (i have xubuntu) it is free i used it a couple of times, and the dl speed is quite low - but it works
Do you mean the software to connect to the VPN or the VPN service provider?
Open VPN client software is free(as in beer and freedom).
If you want performance near that of an unprotected connection, you’ll have to pay for a service, but if you just need something usable for Facebook Reddit and such free services may be good enough.
Haven’t had a chance to play with it yet… https://github.com/trailofbits/algo
You ever heard of open source
Read the clauses, they still sell your data unless you’re paying for at least the lowest tier.
Note “near”- no VPN will be 100% of your unprotected speed, but I haven’t had any problems with NordVPN(and I can connect via Open VPN, which again, is free)
Yes actually, and there is only one program that is open source to use your own proxies in, called OpenVPN, but I didn’t mention it, assuming you don’t own any proxies.
