Feedback on the extensions I'm using + vpn recommendations?

Hi, I’m going through my extensions and I want to try and do a bit better with my security/privacy (although it’s probably to late ) I wanted to get some thoughts on what I currently have.

For miscllicionous/utility I have: 600% Sound Volume, Copyfish, and Video DownloadHelper and for privacy/security I have: I don’t care about cookies, skip redirect, uBlock, and bitwarden. I also removed the following extensions: AdBlock, Privacy Badger, and Tampermonkey.

Also, I’m interested in using a vpn there are a few times where I can’t access something due to it not being available in my country.

VPN = ProtonVPN. The fastest for me (living in Germany), I tested the big players “all”.

If this is the case, the less extensions you use the better. Stick with strict protections built into Firefox, and a single good adblocker (ublock is the best IMO), and a password manager. More extensions actually reduces security and reduces performance of the browser, keeping it clean is better. These extensions have access to things they ultimately should not so it really is preferred to keep things as clean as you can.

And if you must go with a VPN, I personally use Proton’s and have found their extension to be good, but again in the name of keeping it clean, I actually instead VPN into Proton via my own WireGuard tunnel instead of via the extension.

You can replace “I don’t care about cookies” with these lists. The “annoyances” lists also skip redirects on many sites.

600 % Sound Volume is suspicious, Copyfish and DownloadHelper are both not open source.
