It’s start off small, at first it’s Matt Stephens in a “Warner Bros. Discovery” polo shirt…
After this post I’ve now signed up to SBS TV and this works very well. They have a calendar with all the races they are broadcasting.
The same happened with cricket after the 2005 ashes. It became popular so it was behind a paywall. I think the problem they’ll have with cycling is that it’s different to other sports. I expect people either watch it or not, other sports people drop in and out as it becomes exciting or news worthy. Cycling rarely makes the news in the same way as other sports - BBC for instance rarely have any info on big races, they only really cover TdF, world championships and Olympics.
It is so true. It does feel like a steep incline (normally I’d love this) with ever changing gradients. I don’t know why they have to make it so difficult instead of allowing it to be loved and enjoyed.
SBS TV (Australia) is what I’m planning on using.
Yes - I was aware too - but it did seem a needlessly corporate situation; for whichever party was at fault. The same applied to Matt too and his desire to be more fluid with his work relating to cycling.
Exactly this, although it’s watched by alot of people but apart from my cycling lot I don’t know anyone else who watches it!! Wiggo’s win was huge and leading into 2012 Olympics, this was peak time. You never hear anything now in the UK
