I’ve been searching for a few weeks now for an open-source implementation of the IKEv2/IPsec VPN protocol, but can’t seem to find anything. I need this material for a project I’m working on and don’t intend to use it for any commercial purposes.
I would appreciate it greatly if someone could point me in the right direction.
I believe openswan/strongswan would be the most mature implementations of IPSEC that are open source.
It’s all good if you use open source for commercial purposes! Just find an implementation with a license compatible with your goals.
I cant remember what one of thoese two I used for a site to site to a little site we didn’t want to put a fortgate at. It works well, the hardest part is getting the cipher suites right.
Use DES for 100% compatibility.
