Hi, I just got a tp-link AX53 router but it is not directly compatible with Express VPN. Could you advice on how to set up the VPN on this router using OpenVPN? I have searched online but there is not much information.
I have a TP-Link AX1800 router and the setup was pretty easy. First, download the manual as it will have a lot more info. I use the router’s web page to manage the settings. I selected OpenVPN and then you need 3 things from ExpressVPN, username, password, and a config file that specifies the location of the server, I just picked one that was closest to my physical location. The ExpressVPN site is hard to navigate IMHO, too much obfuscation, but if you look for the router setup instructions, you will eventually find it. Note that you will be setting up a VPN client and not the VPN server. IMHO, running the VPN client on the router is the way to go as it covers everything else on the network. Good luck!
