Can't get test.cisco.com working when setting up the vpn

keeps saying connection timed out and asks if i have internet connection. I do. Do i have to be on campus to set this up or something?

I never even knew test.cisco.com was a thing… The standard vpn for students is the Cisco AnyConnect application, using webvpn.purdue.edu as the address, PU username, and your ####,push for the password.

Who’s your VPN provider?

Oh. I was just following the instructions on the any connect setup. They were probably using that as a place holder

I connected to the VPN but I couldn’t log on to thin Linc for some reason. Said my login wasn’t correct but I could log in to the webserver just fine

I don’t know much about thin linc at Purdue, so I’m not sure what I can help with there… Maybe you need boilerad\ or onepurdue\ in front of your username and use your normal email password.

I just found out that theres a different link than the one they give to login to thinking for ECEs. I’ll try that when I get home.
