I couldn’t find information about this online so I decided to try posting here.
I want a set up that would allow me to connect to sites without them knowing I am using a VPN and for it to appear as though I am a regular local user with as close to 100% certainty as possible. To achieive that, can I run “camouflage mode” with a dedicated IP?
TIA!
Hi! Yes, you can. You only need to connect to your Dedicated IP with one of the OpenVPN protocols set on our app (UDP or TCP).
Thanks for the prompt response! And with a setup like that, the server/site I’m connecting to would be unable to discern its a remote/VPN connection, right?
Honestly, it mostly depends on the site itself. Certain sites take very elaborate and heavy measures against VPNs. All I can say is that you can’t know for sure without testing practically, but this kind of setup we’re talking about is certainly the best if we’re talking about anonymity.
TCP is preferred but slower, it looks like normal traffic with TCP
