Best vpn to use in china

hi there! traveling to china soon and plan to set up a vpn before i go. what is the best vpn to use? i’ve read a few posts and have seen astrill, mullvad, letsvpn, veee+, all with different reviews so i’m not sure what to get. i appreciate the help, thank you!

I used letsvpn for my month trip in September. It’s cheap and I had no issues:)

What phone do you use? If it is compatible with eSIM, go on 3 HK and buy one. There’s no Internet censorship when using these eSIMs.

Let’s vpn is really good, I have mo complaints

Holafly eSIM, Mullvad VPN. ~25 Mbps speed. Beijing, now in Xian. Flawless. All set up before arrival.

My backup VPN was ProtonVPN—fail, did not work.

Esim 3hk, unless u staying over 1 month or working in China I don’t see why u need a VPN when the esim has one build in.

Using Letsvpn in China right now, never had a problem in 2weeks

I used Mullvad VPN. It supports 5 devices per account. We have 4 phones. LetVPN supports 2 devices per account.

Used mullvad when I was in China. Pretty much flawless

Im here now and Mullvad (japan or Hongkong) connections are really good

I’m currently here and Mullvad has been great. Not much issues.

Letsvpn worked perfectly for me

I brought both, Mulvad and LETS VPN just in case. Both worked, literally zero problems with the any app or websites!

It’s definitely not the VPN I’m using. My VPN only costs 12 yuan a year, and it’s terrible,it is called“一元机场”,means 1 china yuan/month

I was also using letsvpn but I had to switch, I had some weird disconnects and some low bandwidth sometimes.

I’m now using NordVPN and to be honest it’s great. Haven’t had any problem since then.

What was your itinerary for one month in september?

i’m getting an esim through airolo, i’d like to have a vpn to use my other devices

eSim is also good option! 3HK was a life saver! Landed in Beijing, and my 3HK activated! Had literally zero problems on my mobile data, was scrolling and enjoying my apps just like anytime

thank you! did you get the regional asia esim, or the china one?

Yup, Proton is great!
