Thoughts on this antivirus? Is it safe?
Kaspersky free or Bitdefender free are better choices.

it was good in 2011-2014…but now meeh, windows defender is way better…if you want free AV just use malwarebytes, eset nod32, kaspersky, bitdefender.
I personally use Malwarebytes free and Kaspersky as a second opinion if i’m feeling extra scared.
But as long as you’re exercising proper cybersecurity and not actively clicking on sketchy websites and downloading “free” software you found after typing in “free ___” in google, you should be fine.
take eset HOME Security it’s better ,and there is free trial
Just use Windows Defender, Avast is shady
Avast is one the best anti viruses out there
If you think about it Avast is as good as Kaspersky and bitdefender if you tweak it’s settings
Windows Defender is still beaten by Avast if you use their Avast one

i dont think so as many people. The advantage of Avast One is that it s free and it offers a complete suite with firewall, VPN and Dark web monitoring for email credential.
Kaspersky, Bitdefender, Eset offers higher protection. Especially against advanced malware.

Fx. If you tweak its settings for the core shields it can score nearly the same detection ratio as Kaspersky and bitdefender or if you enable Hardened mode in its core shields it will make it 30% better but can also increase false positives with 30% too
