I think we also need to realiSe that it’s mostly the same as 2020.
Fascinating because I tried a flight with the beluga and somehow I couldn’t taxi. After the push back it simply wouldn’t move. The chocks were removed but it kind of acted like they were still there.
well cause ini build aircrafts is the only things that give a positive to the sim lol the problem is their performance is terrible, especially on vram
Conversely there are the “It’s terrible, everyone is having a bad time” people, when that is also not true.
The entire world in 2020 was streamed.
I mean I guess. At the same time I don’t know what people expected
Did people expect a completely different sim? It’s still using mostly the same data.
I’m running a 3070, getting better performance on the ini’s in 2024 than on the Fenix in 2020…
On Xbox I’m finding EFBs do not work for any inibuilds models. You cannot remove choks, engine covers or connect the jet way.
It fucking sucks. Even attempting to input your SimBrief ID deregisteres the Xbox controller as a recognised input.
That is, if I’m even lucky enough to get to the cockpit. Walkaround continually crashes the game on Xbox for me.
There are bugs with those too.
Yesterday I spent an hour figuring out why I couldn’t turn using nose wheel steering. The animation showed the wheels turning but all the different A330 planes and the A320/321 just went straight. What was the problem? Well, I actually set nose wheel steering in the controls to my joystick Z-Axis and for whatever reason that just makes the steering not work while the animations are correct.
Also that button to disconnect the tiller doesn’t work, no matter if I put it on or off the wheels still turn.
FWIW I haven’t been able to normally capture an ILS in the ini A32NX so far. It establishes on the localizer, sees the glide slope and just… keeps going at the same altitude as it comes down. Descending in v/s mode and capturing it “from the bottom” seems to work.
The aircraft weren’t though
Yes and I got shot down multiple times when I said it wouldn’t be the generational leap they expected.
Sometimes it’s fine, sometimes it’s completely bugged. Also generally many bugs. For example in the A330/321/320 nose wheel steering doesn’t work, despite visuals showing that you turn, if you actually set the nose wheel sterring to your input device. Took me an hour to figure out why I couldn’t turn.
i have 5700xt 8vram and i test ini builds klax in msfs 20 dx12 vs 24 with fenix and in 24 with the a330 and with fenix I get 10 fps more plus in msfs 20 i can have settings in high in msfs 24 in medium cause of vram
Of course, you have done the test multiple times, controlled for any confounding variables, and done a regression?
If not, your test can be the result of literally anything, cpu, ambient temps, bandwidth, and even random flukes, making your initial claim about VRAM nothing but pure conjecture, bordering on misinformation.
I get 50-60 fps in the ini-aircraft on 2024 (1440p, clouds ultra, everything else on high, TLOD and OLOD at 150, exactly the same as my 2020 settings)
On the Fenix, I am lucky to get 45 FPS.
On the Fenix, I am lucky to get 45 FPS.
Well, sure, but that’s a much more high fidelity model.
