I’ve heard mobile spots from your phone work but hasn’t worked for me so far.
It is not possible to share a VPN connection from a mobile device unless you would install a custom ROM on your Android phone, but I think that this kind of setup is too complicated. You could either share a VPN connection from your Windows device or set up a VPN directly on your router.
Okay I’ll probably just look into a wireless hotspot extension for my pc then. Routers are overly expensive.
The router I use - Flint - which has hardware accelerated VPN costs $95. The newer version costs $150, not exactly breaking the bank.
I have the Flint 2, it works great for VPN!!!
I’ll check it out most the ones I saw were 300-750.
I also use the Beryl when on the road. In addition to being able to protect outbound connections via Wireguard, Flint can also act as a Wireguard server meaning I can connect my travel router to my home network. Great for streaming when overseas, and general peace of mind. Speeds are quite good too.
Those are super useful, I have the Beryl AX. Nord doesn’t officially support WireGuard though, I wish they did. OpenVPN is too slow
