Previously, I used to use TunnelBear’s free tier to connect to India. Later I had a subscription in VPN Unlimited and used that. But now, both have removed India from their server list, so I can no longer connect to India.
Are there any other respected VPN providers that have free tier (with limited bandwidth per month or such restrictions) that still have servers in India? (“pay now, but 30 day money back guarantee” doesn’t count.) Fyi, I use the VPN to connect to India maybe once every 2-3 months.

Though I’ve no answer to provide for your question, I’ll put out the obligatory adage: if you’re not paying for the goods, you’re the good.

You should use ExpressVPN they have two servers for India one via UK and other via Singapore. Both work very well. I have been using it since long time. No issues encountered so far 
But, they don’t have these on Free tier.
Yes, I follow that logic too. If I were regularly using a VPN every day, I would get a paid subscription. But right now I use it once in a while, maybe 3-4 times a year, for hardly an hour in total. So, having a full monthly sub doesn’t make sense for my use-case.
TunnelBear is a reputed service and they have a free tier. They used to have India server, but recently they removed it. That’s why I’m now looking for any other such reputed service that has limited free tier.
I bought 2 years’ subscription plan of Private Internet Access, with 100% cashback from TopCashback. This is still giving Indian servers.
But, they don’t have these on Free tier.
