Hi all, i just wanted to share an alternative way to access pmang.jp to register an account for those having issues via VPN like i did (after trying several clients / services).
I did it by forcing my TOR Browser client to strictly use **only** Japan relays using the following method.
(Please install TOR Browser first if you do not have it)
Open your Browser\\TorBrowser\\Data\\Tor\\torrc file in notepad ++
Add this line to the bottom of the file:
ExitNodes {jp}
Save and exit, then start your TOR browser.
You should be able to access pmang.jp as a normal user.
I synced a throwaway Facebook account for gaming i use, but you are welcome to try with google or other means and let me know if it worked for you. Hope this helps more people out want to to check out this fantastic game!
Edit: This is for those having trouble specifically registering an account using VPN methods, you will need a proper VPN client to login, download and play the game itself once your account is created.
I also regret to say that I get the same error message with this as I did with exit lag. I did eventually find a VPN that works however, but it sort of just feels like it’s up to luck at this point.
I’ve managed to register using TOR browser, and managed to download the client launcher etc. However, clicking start game in TOR browser doesn’t open the client like I assume it should, which I assume is a problem with the browser. I would try a different browser, but of course it can’t open the site. Opening the launcher file does nothing, the log says read error, accessing a file directory that isn’t there. If you had any ideas, that would be great
edit: nevermind, I tried another VPN (UrbanVPN) suggested by Sonitii, which can access the site, and it does work in chrome. In case anyone else had the same issue
Yes you will need a VPN to launch the game , as I replied in a different comment - VPNs and TCP/IP aren’t an exact science , some VPN’s depending where you are from or how the security of pmang is setup will block you when you attempt to configure an account.
For others who may be banging their head on their desk having tried 5+ different types of VPN, this was my way of getting around the need for one to at least register an account.
I’m sorry my friend, this is unfortunately the messages i would get when using VPN.
May I ask which type of account you tried to create? Could you see if trying to use a Facebook, Google or Yahoo JP account is possibly a different outcome for you?
Also sometimes you will get an unlucky relay on TOR and you might have more trouble than usual. This method isn’t meant to be flawless, just an alternative that might help.
You have missed the point of this post though. It isn’t meant to be an alternative to VPN’s, its something to help people troubleshoot being blocked to create an account via VPN
The reason this works is (likely) that pmang are probably much more sensitive to connections that use a VPN than TOR.
TOR is highly anonymous and much harder to detect the connection type and if it is a genuine user than VPN user. Most large corporations will detect VPN type connection based on the way the TCP/IP altered by the VPN and hence the frequency of 24 hour notice messages given out to users.
You won’t be able to access the game using TOR as TOR isn’t a VPN for your whole computer. TOR is a highly anonymous browser that has ‘vpn like’ elements but isn’t a VPN.

I’ve tried 9 different VPNs, used your TOR method to at least make my account but still have 0 ways of being able to play the game since you still need a VPN to download the client and launch the game.
I ended up using the UrbanVPN extension that someone else mentioned in here. It seemed to be hit or miss though if it would work, and my friend couldn’t get it to work for him. You do still need to use a vpn to launch the game though, but any of them seem fine once you’re actually logged in.
However now I’m running into an issue where the game has finished patching and when I hit start I get another connection error.
UrbanVPN for me doesn’t even allow me to get to the site, and I’m using the app instead of the extension. Meanwhile, Exitlag gets me to the site but not past the register screen. Looks like I’m waiting for the NA release.
