2 VPNs that I found working best getting around the black screen problem

If you’re like me, having internet from ISP which has restricted NAT and awful bufferbloat issues. Chances are, you probably having the same black screen problem when you’re trying to initiate a match with someone from your own region. Port forwarding just doesn’t fix the issue for me.

I have tested a few VPNs all year long starting from Nord, PIA, Expressvpn, Hideallip, and a couple of other not well known VPNs to try and see which ones work the best, and I found 2.

  1. Hideallip. It’s a less known VPN with crappy speed and overall a crappy VPN to use as it’s originally intended. BUT this VPN works the best in tunneling through your ISP’s NAT and connecting your matches. The only few players that I still couldn’t connect through were people with really awful connections living in God knows where with crappy wifi or mobile internet. And it’s quite cheap, 29 USD for a whole year. (There’s a 2 day free trial)

  2. ExpressVPN. One of the best VPN out there with blazing internet speed and good protection protocol. This VPN also stabilizes your match connection from spiking, though it also raises the latency/ping slightly. It will tunnel through most connections but not as effective as Hideallip. Some ISPs are harder to punch through.

You don’t need both sides to use VPN. Only one player need to use VPN in order to connect a match

I tried using ExpressVPN before, thanks to a broadbandsearch post I read one time. And one thing I appreciated was their customer support. They had troubleshooting guides, instructional guides, and real-time 24/7 chat support.

Nice info!! Are they good only for NA? Do they work on south america? or I need to find something else?

They should be good there too. But just to be safe let me check if they both have servers in your country. Which country of south america are you in?

Just checked, hideallip has only brazil server so if you live in brazil you can use this vpn. There’s a 2 day free trial.
Expressvpn has almost all countries in south america, so it’s safe.
